At S-Rock Care Services our dedicated support staff are here to assist clients with a range of specialised care needs. Here’s how we can help:

Ventilator Care:

  • Connection & Disconnection: Assistance with connecting and disconnecting your ventilator, such as NIPP 3+ (None Invasive Positive Pressure and CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
  • Maintenance : Support in changing and cleaning filters and tubing, as well as recognising and managing ventilator issues.

Tracheostomy Care:

  • Full Tracheostomy Change: Comprehensive care including inner cannula changing and stoma site care.

Ambu-Bagging

  • Manual Ventilation: Provided when clinical signs indicate respiratory difficulties.

Cough Assist:

  • Settings Verification: Ensuring correct settings.
  • Assistance: Full assistance in using your cough assist device, whether manual or automatic.

Chest Physiotherapy:

  • Prescribed Care Plan: Administering the care plan prescribed by your physiotherapist.

Suction:

  • Oral and Tracheostomy Suction: Both shallow oral suctioning and deep suction via tracheostomy using closed or open catheter systems.

Bowel Care:

  • Comprehensive Support: From positioning assistance to digital evacuation and bowel stimulation, including the use of suppositories and enemas.

Stoma Care:

  • Stoma Site Care: Care of the stoma site and emptying of the stoma bag.

Catheter Care:

  • Intermittent Catheterisation: Care of your suprapubic site and catheter, including recognising and managing urinary tract infections.

Oxygen Therapy:

  • Oxygen Desaturation: Recognising signs such as cyanosis and assisting with oxygen application via nasal cannula, face mask, or tracheostomy using cylinders or condensers.

Epilepsy Management

  • Seizure Response: Handling injuries arising from seizures and administering midazolam and diazepam.

Gastrostomy Care:

  • Stoma Site Care: Administering medication, water, and food via PEG tube using gravity and pumps.
